Clifton Cathedral has undergone a full refurbishment of the cathedral’s heating and lighting, including a full upgrade of the plant room and the installation of a new air handling unit. Built in the 1970s this grade II* listed cathedral was critically acclaimed for its serenity and simplicity, and the modest ‘theatre-like’ composition of its irregular, elongated hexagonal plan.
MJD were responsible for the design, supply, install and commissioning of all the new mechanical services throughout the plant room and feeding the cathedral area. This included upgrading the supply and extract ventilation systems, perimeter heating and BMS control system.
